Our Giant Scalextric (slot car racing) set allows up to 4 players to race at any one time using the mini racing cars. The Scalextric track comes complete with a race marshal and a computerised lap timing system to work out exactly who is the fastest driver at your event. Race results are shown on the flat screen monitor and the track is illuminated by mini spotlights.
The Giant Scalextric track can be hired for a whole host of indoor events. It regularly attends Corporate Events, Showroom Promotions, Automotive Events, Exhibitions, Evening Events, Themed Events, Black tie Dinners, Christmas Parties, Birthdays, Weddings and just about everything else!
Our Giant Scalextric hire always comes with staff to operate the equipment. It is covered under our £10 million PLI policy and comes with full risk assessments. As with all of Altitude’s Electronic Games Hire, the Giant Scalextric is fully PAT tested for electrical safety.
Our Scalextric hire service is based on the Surrey/Sussex border and covers the Southeast. We cover Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Essex, London, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire as well as further afield. Giant Scalextric hire is a great activity to use at themed events such as those with a motorsport twist.
Our 4 lane Scalextric track is 12ft x 6ft in size. We need around 3ft of clear space around each edge of the unit to allow players to stand. The Scalextric must be set up inside or under marquee cover (with solid flooring). We will require a normal mains power supply. The Scalextric is transported in 3 large sections. Each one measures 4ft x 6ft so we need to be able to gain access for these. Please notify us in advance if there will be any difficulty with access including long distances, narrow doorways, lifts and stairs.

Giant Scalextric can take up to four players per race.
Players must be 8 years and above to play. Anyone deemed to be in an ‘unfit’ state to play due to the influence of alcohol or drugs may be turned away.

Yes the Giant Scalextric is suitable for Indoor events. Please see specifications tab for unit and space dimensions. The unit is large (6ft x 4ft sections) and awkward to carry so please let us know whether there are long distances to carry it or any steps/stairs/lifts/doorways etc to navigate with the equipment as complicated setup routes may increase set up time or require additional staff which will increase the hire costs.
Yes, the Giant Scalextric requires one mains power socket.
Other than providing an area to set up on, we supply everything required to run the game, including the cars, screen, cables and an operator.
Depending on the ease of access, the Giant Scalextric will take our staff approximately 45mins to an hour to set up.
Yes, our staff will remain with the game throughout your event. They will give all players a briefing of how the game works and run each race for you, recording scores where necessary.
Sessions are run by fully trained, experienced staff member. We also operate with £10 million public liability insurance and have full risk assessments (copies of which are available on request). All electrical items are PAT tested for electrical safety.
We will tailor-make each Giant Scalextric hire quote to the specifics of an enquiry. The Giant Scalextric hire cost is dependent on factors such as your location, length of hire, date of hire and whether or not any other pieces of equipment are being hired for the same event, etc.
The quote we send to you is all-inclusive so there are no hidden extras to be wary of.
Give us a call or send an e-mail and we can check your desired date(s) for availability and give you a quote. When you are ready to confirm, we will send out a booking form, complete with the booking terms and conditions to check over. Once filled in, please return it to us along with payment. We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking date and the balance is due 1 month before the hire date. Then just sit back and count down the days until we arrive!

Although we are based in the South East, we will travel anywhere to do an event. However, if it is very far from our base, the price will reflect this. Primarily our Giant Scalextric attends events held in East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Please contact us for further information if this is something that you would be interested in.
